We used the Modkat flip top box to construct an enclosed outdoor litter box for our indoor cats. We got a window cat door and a short length of 8-inch heating vent tubing and connected it all to the litter box with strong velcro so our cats can go out the door, through the tubing tunnel and directly into the litter box. With just a couple days of training, they started using it no problem. So no indoor litter box smell. Out on the porch, the Modkat box looks good, and it's is easy to open up the top and clean it out and then replace the top to make sure the cats can't get out (we put something heavy on the flip-top just to make sure they can't push it open from the inside).
I’ve tried many litter boxes for my cats over the years and this one surpasses them all!!!! So easy to clean and perfect for larger cats and tiny kittens. So wonderful I bought two and one for my in-laws! Thank You!!
We opened it up when it arrived and she jumped in. A few days later I put the liner and litter in and replaced our litter box with the flip box. She’s in and out no problem. Took to it immediately. Oh and my bathroom is now quite tidy and neat as my kitty loves to throw litter around and this box contains it very well
This is my second purchase of this litter box. It is the best box for high pee-er cats. I have a large cat that always urintates over the highest boxes or the urine seeps through between the lid and the base of the boxes, i have tried several. He sometimes still makes to the tip top of this box but it is a rare occurrence. This is the best litter box that I have found for keeping everything inside where it is supposed to be. I like to leave the top folded over once to store my scooper there and also so it doesn't feel so closed in for my 6 cats. I don't use the liner, I just found that I like it better without it. This was truly worth every penny for my household and my sanity! Also, it is big enough for my largest cats but small enough to hide in my kitchen corner where I unfortunately NEED a litter box.
We've gone through various litterbox iterations for my 16.5yo cat in year 3 of kidney disease (she acts much younger, but the litterbox has been an issue). This one seems to be the right shape and size for keeping her from the occasional outside the box pee, and it's easy to scoop.
