Modkat Flip Starter Kit

I had to have my litter box in full view in my apartment. I picked this black one that seems to not look so “litter box” and it fits in quite well without looking so obvious. Very happy with my purchase and Ivy seems to like it too!

My adolescent male cat does gymnastics in the box and somehow always finds a seam and pee is everywhere on the floor- I tried 3 different boxes- and this one is keeping the pee in the box- yay!!! I bought 3 of them - money well spent.

We have been using two Modkat Flip litter boxes for over a year now and just added a third one. Our love of this product goes more than just the looks of it. The boxes are super easy to maintain, and the concept of an inner tarpaulin liner works extremely well. The liner can be washed so smell is at a minimum.

I have a cat that frequently lifts his tail when he pees so the high walls are great! Being able to change the tarps is fantastic, keeps everything clean!

We have 2 kitties that are high pee-ers, and this box keeps everything inside. One cat is large (16 lbs) and needs a box big enough to move around in - these are just as wide as our old "extra large" boxes and at 15" tall they are much taller than standard ones. We've had them for about a week or so and our cats have been using them without complaint. Are these litter boxes more expensive than standard ones? Yes. Are they worth every penny? Also yes! Thank you Modkat for making such a great product!

The Modular Flip was just what we were looking for- flat top, easy to clean, fits our space. We haven’t had it long enough yet to really test the liner, but so far so good.

I purchased this box because of the lid design. I previously had a box with a hinged lid that lifted up, but it always fell down mid scoop. The Modkat lid makes this chore easy and the included scooper is excellent as well. My cat and I are very pleased with our purchase.

We needed to relocate our cat’s litter box to a nook in our bathroom, The box fit perfectly, with no room to spare. Our cat took to it without any coaxing too! It is tidy and nice looking if you need to have it somewhere that you use as well.

I love this litter box and so do my cats. Easy assembly, no tracking out if the front mat, no bad smells. Also - my cats both love the cut out box with the ball and play w/it every night. I really appreciate how eco-friendly Modkat's products are.

I invested in this litter box, considering there are zero cracks and no chances of litter or cat waste, spilling out the corners or the sides or cracks. I also love the fact that the liners are reusable and you can always buy more when yours gets old. The liners help make dumping easier. I likely will be buying a second one of these. My cat doesn’t like the lid fully closed, he feels too cramped in any box so I have it halfway closed and that works great for my stubborn cat! The size is great for full grown or larger cats 10/10

This is the best litter box. I still have the one I ordered 8 or 9 years ago. I just ordered another box (July 2025). Both boxes are shown together. The liners are durable and I change them every 10-12 weeks; I use Arm & Hammer Super Scoop clumping litter. In this order, I got the works: Litter box, extra large mat, 2 katch litter mats, and liners. We have our mud room set up as the cat room. Bonus: My cats love the cardboard box/ball toy that came with the order.

I know it’s hard to believe, but this product does everything it says it does. As someone with a Maine coon and a bigger-than-average Siamese, the Modkat saved my sanity. My cats were always ripping through litter liners, forcing me to have to dump out everything and clean the other litter boxes all the time. My Maine coon has such strong smelling urine, and having to clean out everything constantly was SUCH a hassle! But Modkat’s liners truly were a game changer for us. They absolutely WILL NOT RIP. It stays secure in place, and keeps the actual box clean. The charcoal filter absorbs any smell. And when it’s time to change the liner, you can just throw it in a garbage bag, no spilling or crazy maneuvers. My cats love to perch on the top of the box and look out the window as well. It’s functional, it’s furniture, it’s FANTASTIC!!! I just bought a second one because my Maine coon is bigger now and my Siamese needs his own space. This is the fourth type of litter box we have owned and find it entirely user friendly, appreciated by two cats and easily set up so that the dog won't dig around in it. The folding lid is a simple yet brilliant innovation.

There is one thing I can’t stand and that’s a litter box. But I want a cat and outdoor isn’t cool in our neighborhood because of predators. So the Flip Litter Box was my choice and there are no regrets. Easy to clean, love the large tarp liner, and our kitty loves it! And with the charcoal filter there is no smell!!

It’s much easier to scoop from the top vs. the side of the litter box. Also, less litter scatters about when scooping from the top. My cat took to it right away, and so did my husband (Manager of Litterbox Operations).

I have a one year-old male cat, who likes to scratch the walls to try and cover his poop. The high walls on this litter box are why I bought it, hoping it would encourage him to move the litter instead of scratching the wall behind the litter box, it worked!

We love our new Flip! At first, left the cover off to let The Lads get used to using a new box, then added the cover half-open all the time. The front is high enough to prevent litter from being kicked out onto the floor, even for our front-of-the-box go-er. And so good-looking. Thanks, Modkat!

The litter is contained, the flip lid makes it so easy to clean, haven’t noticed any odors and our kitty seems very comfortable using it. Oh, the scoop is also very nice.

Litterbox would have been perfect but my extra large domestic shorthair just couldn’t turn around in it so I had to return it. Ended up purchasing a tote from Lowe’s and converting it to one instead.

Note: my cat is geriatric + arthritic + dumb.

My rescue cat PD was likely dumped because of his per style- right up the wall. Thank you Modcat for helping this vibrant animal find and stay forever in our home.

Just put this together—really like the box. I only bought one to see if any of my three cats would like it and it seems they do. I am hesitating about purchasing two more though—for the price it is not as well made. The back part of the cover fits perfectly but the front part is askew and there is nothing that can be done to fix that since the cover is one piece—believe me I tried. Not sure why the front is crooked when the back part fits great—maybe manufacturing mistake? See photos. Anyway, I will revisit this review after a few months when the liner has to be changed and let the readers know about that experience.
