Nice durable smooth plastic. Personally I don’t like to use the bags, everythings’s set up directly in the box, so I love that the plastic is really lightweight but durable and easy to clean. Wish it were just a little taller yet because one of my cats just has to go as high as possible and doesn’t like lids. So i have to hang a pee pad behind it. And I do wish the corners were all curved for ease of popping out clumps. But I am glad it is seemless and doesn’t leak, and adaptable for different types of cats and their preferences. Pretty box too, as they go.
Within less than a minute from taking them out of the box my cats were playing and scratching on them. They also use them to lounge on them. Worth the money

But both of my cats don’t use it. I bought the top entry, and apparently they aren’t that athletic. 😢

Sometimes there is nothing that can get rid of certain smells. But once the offending “gift” is removed from the box the smell is gone.
Omg I love, love, love these litter boxes. Our fur babies are high pee-ers and this is the only box that keeps it all in. The liners are great - they last a while and are washable (I've only had our boxes for 2 weeks and have not needed to change the liner yet). Unless something catastrophic happens (and I can't imagine what), I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend. Are they expensive? Yes. Are they worth it? Also YES.
I had seen this item before and assumed it was storage for clean litter until I clicked on it and read more about it. I purchased one after realizing it was to store used litter, and it's made cleaning my cat's litter box much easier. While pricey, I think my cat is worth the investment.
I have one cat who is very scared of being "trapped" when using the box but also wants some privacy to feel secure. The flip is the perfect solution to this. I just leave it always half open.
I wish it was a litter larger, otherwise a wonderful mat, flexible, easy to put litter back in the box.
Barely had the litter been deposited in their new litter box did they immediately investigate and use their new box !!!

We have 2 kitties that are high pee-ers, and this box keeps everything inside. One cat is large (16 lbs) and needs a box big enough to move around in - these are just as wide as our old "extra large" boxes and at 15" tall they are much taller than standard ones. We've had them for about a week or so and our cats have been using them without complaint. Are these litter boxes more expensive than standard ones? Yes. Are they worth every penny? Also yes! Thank you Modkat for making such a great product!
I’m a pet care provider and have become quite the connoisseur (I also have a favorite litter, food, toys etc). I saw this at a client’s home and loved the top entrance. I have 3 small dogs and I do not need anyone grazing. The litter doesn’t go flying everywhere and stays contained in the box. Also very easy to clean and has convenient replaceable liners
The liners that I bought for the Modkat front entrance had a metal ring around each hook. The new ones don’t. Will the new ones work?
