We own the original ModKat, and have used it for 7 years. Now that our cats are older, we decided to upgrade to this version for the front entry option. We are in LOVE with this litter box. and so are the cats!
This is a large dog carrier and is my 4th purchased. I use it for my Maine coon cats. One 18 lbs, 12lbs, and one who was about 25 lbs. I will be using this for my most recent one a male - they can get up to 30 lbs. we love these carriers.
My only complaint I’ve ever had about the Modkat Flip litterbox js the litter that would fall between the liner and box as the cats would exit the box. This platform addresses that and is an awesome upgrade. It holds thr liner in place beneath the platform, keeps litter from falling into the box, and helps keep the box neater and cleaner than the standard clip. I think this platform should be included with the box as the standard part!
This litter box is so easy and convenient. One of the best decisions I've made for my little princess GG.
I use tofu litter and I add this cat litter additive and it does its job.
Great product. The high sides keep all the action on the inside, where we want it. The liners are good quality and hold up well with routine cleaning. This is exactly what I was hoping for.
I've had my Flip box for over a year now, and it's by far the happiest I've been with a litter box. It has genuinely solved every problem I've ever had with litter boxes in the past.
1. The liner feature is genius. The box itself looks like new and will last for years to come as it's protected from direct contact with waste 100% of the time thanks to the liner. The liner makes full-box cleans a breeze, and they are sturdy. It's also compatible with non-clumping silica litter!!! I recently tried silica with my cat for the first time as I live in a very small space and odor was a big problem with other litter formulas. I expected the pee would soak through the liner before the silica could absorb it, but this has not been an issue at all. The liner has kept the box completely dry.
2. I LOVE that the box is raised on little legs; this is a major pro of this box for me, and I'm surprised at how few other boxes on the market have this feature. I like knowing that my floors are protected and that there's airflow all around the box.
3. My cat stands to pee like a horse and sprays vertically. She's always needed a covered box in the past because of this, but I can tell that the lack of ventilation bothers her. This is a great middle ground for us. Flipping the box halfway closed means she can have plenty of airflow while also keeping her pee contained in the box.
Overall I'm hugely happy with this box and it's solved every problem I've encountered with boxes as a long-time cat mom. For me, the cost was a small price to pay for an ideal litter solution for myself AND my cat.
I love these bags, they are so durable and much easier to scoop out then slippery garbage bag types.
My previous litter box had an entry flap and the modkat one does not. We can now smell the cat's litter using the modkat box, when before this was never an issue
I finally found a litter box that works with both of my cats -- the female who demands a pristine box and the male who pees standing up. Truly a game-changer.
I recommend getting this one over any of them since there is a top and bottom and the size is good for any cat big or small also makes cleaning really easy
He spends a lot of time laying and playing with the Lounge set. Highly recommend it!

Love that it has easy to clean liners that last a while. This is a great litter box and isn't unsightly, either.
We have been using two Modkat Flip litter boxes for over a year now and just added a third one. Our love of this product goes more than just the looks of it. The boxes are super easy to maintain, and the concept of an inner tarpaulin liner works extremely well. The liner can be washed so smell is at a minimum.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for beauty and function.Good job Modkat!
I have been using Modkat products for over 14 years. When I fist moved to NYC and had the smallest apartment ever, I bought the Modkat A itter box. It’s very discreet, doesn’t look like a litter box.
These liners are different from the old type F. They have plastic fasteners instead of the old metal grommets and they seem to be made of a bit thinner material. I just put one in the litter box yesterday, so will have to wait and see how they hold up.
Really like this litter box. It looks nice & it’s easy to clean. I do feel like there is less litter tracking as well. Love that the lid has 3 different options.
Love the Scratcher Lounge Set! Our cat, Ruthie, loves it too, lol. One thing I was surprised about was when I took the lounge set out of the plastic wrap our cat immediately sneezed very hard 3 times. My husband said he hadn't heard her sneeze that way before. Then I immediately began sneezing for an hour until I could open the doors and air out our place. Makes sense that it was dust from the compressed cardboard (paper dust). I wiped off the lounge set with damp paper towel then vacuumed it. My suggestion is to open outside if you are sensitive or have allergies! We still love the lounger set, though. Our cat loves to recline on it (thus the name "Lounge Set"!). I'd leave a picture here but don't know how!
The litter box was easy to assemble, works exactly as described, and has eliminated the issue of my cat peeing outside her box. I have it behind a partition, but even if it were visible to guests, it is visually appealing. Highly recommend!
