Odor filters effectively eliminate litter box smells, with customers saying "No odor whatsoever!" and "these filters actually work!" Easy to install and rechargeable in sunlight. We purchased a ModKat Flip Litter Box years ago when the MK company was just getting started. I saw it online and knew it was exactly what we were looking for and it still is…great design, well-made, easy to clean/maintain. A very good product! We’re still using the original and it’s great. We’ve also purchased liners; and odor filters and the hook for them and these filters actually work! A good company.

I installed it per the illustrations and wouldn't you know...my cat constantly removed it. I was so frustrated by her cleverness that I had to up my game. Used a binder ring to lock it in and voila...she can't do move it at all! She's still trying to figure it out...

I like the new charcoal packs as they aren't so messy. They do not stay in place very well is sthe only trouble.

Sometimes there is nothing that can get rid of certain smells. But once the offending “gift” is removed from the box the smell is gone.

My box is used by two cats, and the smell is barely noticeable. I use use an odor powder too, but I those filters really make a difference.

We been through many liter boxes and liners. Had our cat since it was a kitten. Got to say found this brand on Amazon was reading the reviews, bought the whole setup. Liter box and all. We are definitely pleased and won't be changing back. No more blaming it weekly cause it smells soooo bad. This is such an easy, no mess and no smell choice. Thankful cause I love my my cat but not the litter box.

Haven’t noticed a difference in odor control.
Hi Cheryl, for optimal performance please be sure to place filter under direct sunlight (2-3 hours per side) monthly. The filters can be recharged up to 3 times before they need to be replaced. With proper care, the two Modkat Bamboo Charcoal Filter packs can last up to a year. When the filter is finished, the granules can be recycled into plant soil.

I love Modkat litter boxes but the litter box filter is a real disappointment. It needs a mechanism to allow for better attachment to the litter box. After picking it out of the litter numerous times during the first day, I have to classify this one as a lost cause.
