Modkat Tray

I just set up my new litter box and my 15 yr old cat loves it. I like that there is no lid and it makes it so easy to clean. After so many years of a box with a lid I think he appreciates that there is more room and it’s open.

Works great. I couldn’t be happier. Fits perfectly for location I wanted it for and cat is satisfied. No more over shooting the sides of the box. The plastic sides solved my problem along with the deeper container.

This is the third “tray” (uses G type liner) Modkat litter box I have purchased; I had been wanting three boxes but I wasn’t sure if I wanted the expense of three liners. Also, I was concerned about unnecessarily adding plastic to landfills. But I use each liner for 3 months and liner use keeps the litter boxes themselves in new condition, which means that the litter boxes will last indefinitely. And the system works great, especially with the soybean-based litter I use, which doesn’t stick to the liners, so scooping is not a chore and the litter stays pristine. Now “changing the litter” means lifting out the liner, litter and all, washing and drying the shield, and wiping-down the box, and it’s like brand new; it could not be any easier.

I bought the litter tray with the clear clip on splash guard. It works great and my cat loves it but out of the box the notches on the guard were about 1/4 inch off, causing the guard to bend up in the middle. I was able to cut the notches wider and now it fits fine. Just wanted to bring it to your attention, otherwise we love it!❤️🐈

I wanted a litter box with high "walls," and this one is perfect. My cats loved it, too!

After researching I purchased 2 of these boxes for my 2 cats. The shield works great and the scoop is shaped perfectly for box corners. Very well designed and made!

This is the best purchase I’ve made! My cat is tall and long so even the old XL litter box we had was too closed in and he would spray the walls leading to leakage. I left the new box out for five minutes amd both cats (even small) were using it right away. They are also in love with the toy that was made from the box it came in.

This is a second Litter tray for me. Mr Sanders loves this type of litter box. He likes to back up to the splash guard so this is great. He can see all around while he is doing his business. It is easy to keep clean and I love the liner. It's very nice looking too. Mr Sanders approved.

My guy was peeing out the back of the box! So I was having to wash and bleach the floor and it was starting to come up, but the smell was worse. This new box with the high sides is great so far! I thought he’d tear up the liner but so far so good. It also helps to keep litter inside the box. I would recommend for those that don’t have great aim or as the picture shows just doing it to annoy his mother :)

We are now a 4 Modkat litter box family! We love them and they make scooping actually fun!!!!

I have a big girl who likes to stand to pee and this style works beautifully! I have tried several lidded boxes but she doesn't like to be so enclosed and the pee often leaked where the top snapped to the bottom. This style works!! The other kitties like it too - all three vote paws up!

I wasn’t sure if my two cats would like the liner set-up, so I added a Modcat box (the open tray style with the splashguard at the top) next to one of their current litterboxes, and they both prefer the Modcat box. So I’m happy, because it’s going to be so much easier to change-out the litter every month (I use PrettyLitter so it’s really going to be simple) with the liner system, and the litterbox will stay more sanitary overall. I don’t mind the expense of the liners as long as they work and don’t bother the cats, and they do work great and the cats are totally fine with the liner; in fact, because the liner is a little rough/catchy when scratched too vigorously, I think the cats prefer that...maybe it’s a more “natural” feeling than hitting smooth hard plastic, and signals “enough” digging? I don’t know, but both of my cats will choose the Modcat box over their usual box of approximately the same size and shape and with the same litter and in the same place, so I cannot argue with their preference! My high-peer hasn’t gotten any out of the box, either, so that’s also nice.

Love this box! I had to be creative. My cat is a high peer and will stand on the entrance and pee outside the box. Well!! I turned the liner backwards and it creates a flimsy entry she can’t stand on. Because of the high sides, the problem has been solved! First cat box that has worked! Thank you!

My Gus has elevator butt and it was impossible to find a box that he didn’t spray over. Until now! I bought two boxes a few months ago—the flip lid and the litter tray and I just bought another last month. I even got one for my sister as a gift for her cats, who miss the box frequently and it’s solved her problems too. Love love love these boxes!! So glad my search is over

This litterbox is amazing. It's the perfect size size for my (admittedly kind of small) cat. The sidewalls help keep litter in its place, but I can tell my cat is much happier not being fully enclosed. The liners are so eady to clean/replace and it's nice knowing that things aren't just absorbing into the plastic like most litter boxes.

Also, my cat is obsessed with the packaging that turns into a toy! She plays with it every day. Modkat obviously knows and loves cats as much as we do!

My cats get occasional “elevator butt” (according to Jackson Galaxy) and would pee outside the box by mistake. The high walls on this box coupled with the fact that they fasten INSIDE the box means that no urine escapes! Problem solved, and the cats love it!

I love my Modkat litter tray. My Wallace is a litter kicker and loves to spread that stuff everywhere. The litter tray has high sides AND a splash guard. That litter stays just where it’s supposed to.

Have had the Modkat litter tray for about 3 weeks now and my current foster cat seems to love it! He has had some litter box issues in the past but gets along well with this one. Paired with the litter mat it keeps most of the litter in the box with only some unavoidable tracking. Would definitely recommend to someone with a cat not comfortable with a closed litter box but still looking for a stylish, compact box.

My Little Basil is a side sprayer and I have tried every box style to keep her potty clean. This is the nicest box I have ever had. The liners made me nervous because Basil has super sharp claws, but they are super strong! Easiest to clean! The clumps come right up from the liner. I love this box❤️

I needed a litter box that was high but only 14 inches wide. I looked everywhere and researched every type of storage container. I have a cat that “shoots” her pee at the side of the box pretty high up. Also the cubby for the litter box is very narrow. I had a two piece box but the seam was not overlapped to prevent leaks and the urine would leak at that seam. After not finding a darn thing that would meet the dimensions of width and height that I needed for my aging cat, I started looking on blogs for what people were saying. Thats the first time I ever heard of ModKat. I started looking at your models and settled on the ModKat #10. It is very cleverly designed and is double protected against leaks - the top flexible flap fits down over the top of the litter box and the liner fits over both. Double leak protection plus the liner releases the clumps very well. This box even comes with a mountable scoop, cat ping pong ball and a poop decal (not sure if I can display this!) Also, the entry has an attached “threshold” that gives my cat somewhere to step if she needs to. (She stands up to do her #2 jobs). Perfect for my cat is the summation of my review.
